An eager young boy Dick Grayson is the youngest member of a family group of acrobats called "The Flying Graysons" becomes a witness of the death of his entire family at the hands of a corrupt Circus leader. After spending time in an orphanage, millionaire Bruce Wayne decides to take the pre-teen in to give him a home. Consumed by his desire for revenge on the Circus leader, Grayson tries to find the leader on his own. He was then confronted by the leader's partner who beaten Grayson almost to the point of death until he was rescued by Batman. After recovering in the batcave, Grayson discovers that Bruce Wayne and Batman are one and the same. This is when Wayne (reluctantly) decided to train Grayson to become his crime fighting partner. Grayson takes on his own persona: Robin. For several years, Robin has helped Batman to keep the streets of Gotham safe, until Robin failed to save the Gotham D.A. This is when Batman banishes Robin, but Robin would go on to form a teenage group of vigilantes called the Teen Titans. As Rayson became an adult and inspired by Superman, he took on a new persona: Nightwing. Grayson is now a member of the Justice League and has rejoined Batman because of it.
 Injustice: Gods Among Us
 Real World
As the Justice League was fighting the Injustice League in Metropolis. Nightwing tries to defeat the rest of the Injustice League led by Lex Luthor at the Watch Tower, he calls Batman and asks him for help, but Batman has to check up on The Joker to see if he escaped, after Batman defeats Deathstroke he heads to the Watch Tower to help Nightwing. Not much is known about Nightwing afterwards.
 Alternate World
In this world, and after Superman kills The Joker after being tricked into killing Lois Lane and destroying Metropolis he establishes an Empire to rule over the people of Earth. Dick Grayson of this world joins Batman's rebellion, but during a battle between Batman's rebellion and Superman's empire, Grayson goes up against Batman's real son: Damian Wayne The son of Talia Al'Goul and hates his natural father for negligence. After a fierce fight with Damian, Grayson is defeated and killed by Damian who assumes the Nightwing persona as he joins Superman's empire. During the imperial raid on Arkham Asylum, Damian fights The Joker but is defeated. During the battle of Stryker's Island, he and Catwoman try to stop Batman and the real world's Green Arrow from rescuing the real world Batman. Damian defeats Green Arrow, but Batman saves Green Arrow from being killed. Damian fights his father but loses to him. Damian was then imprisoned as The One Earth empire was toppled by the real world's Superman.
