Ashrah is a demon from the netherealm seeking purification in her first apparition in Mortal Kombat: Deception. She found in this cruel world a blade known as Datusha, the blade which took over her mind commanded her to slay it's natural enemies, vampires. Ashrah was immediately fooled by the sword's intentions and agreed believing it was for a greater good and that she would finally be purified if she accomplished that task. During Armageddon, Ashrah found herself in a forgotten realm called Vaeternus, where lives a cunning, seductive and dangerous kind of vampires called the Morois. She did as the sword instructed and began killing them but was attacked and bested by Nitara before the vampire lured Ashrah out of her realm and into the crater in Edenia.
